A Little Break

Hello all! Tonight British Summertime ends here in the UK and we will put our clocks back an hour, giving us an hour's more sleep. From now on it will get dark an hour earlier in the evenings and lighter in the mornings, but not lighter for long.

As the daylight hours steadily decrease and we roll towards the shortest day, the urge to hibernate becomes strong in mammals and we can start to feel sluggish. That's what I'm feeling at the moment. Decidedly sluggish and lethargic. It's been a long term and we've had some very busy weekends, full to the brim with stuff to do. I don't seem to find the time to be creative these days. I go for weeks without picking up my crochet hook, knitting needle, jewellery pliers or sewing things, and am spending too long sitting at my laptop in the evenings. More importantly I'm not doing enough exercise which is not helping with my getting fit and losing weight, so I've decided I need to get my priorities straight and be more active and creative. This means less time spent on the computer and therefore less time blogging. I will become a more occasional blogger. I'll still be here, but not so often.

I'm going to take a couple of weeks off as it's half term here, but I'll be back before long, batteries recharged, hopefully with a bit more energy and a few creations to show you. Thank you for all the wonderful comments you've left me, and I shall leave you with some recent photos of autumn colour in our garden.

If it's half term for you, I hope it's a relaxing one.
See you in a while x

  7. I think we all get a bit sluggish at this time of the year, I know I do. However this year we are staying down in Somerset enjoying every half term break so I am hoping this will recharge my batteries and keep me going for a bit as the manic run-up to Christmas begins. Enjoy your down time from the computer and hope you will feel more motivated very soon. xx
