Today is the last day of our Easter holidays (Easter seems like ages ago now, doesn't it?) and I'm preparing to return to work tomorrow. It's been a lovely two weeks full of very warm sunshine, heavy showers and hailstones - typical April weather in fact. I've spent happy time with family and friends, P and I have been out and about on his three days off, and I've had the luxury of time to crochet and sew, and just please myself. Also I've done lots of gardening, tidying up edges, weeding and sowing seeds. Setting my morning alarm for later and taking my time in getting up most days has left me feeling feel refreshed and energised - it's been good.
I know that once term starts again, my posts and visits to to your lovely blogs will be more sporadic. But I will still be in Blogland when I can, popping in and pootling around. In the meantime I shall leave you with photos from a visit we made last week to one of our favourite National Trust properties, The Courts in Wiltshire. It's a smaller place and only the garden is open to visitors, but what a garden it is. We've always been in the summer and it's gorgeous then, but it is also beautiful in the spring, full of flowers and birdsong. Hope you enjoy it.

Thank you for all the lovely comments you leave on my blog - I love to read them. Hope the week ahead is a good one for you x
That looks like a great place for a visit. Intereting bird boxes. It has been a lovely Easter break hasn't it? My only problem is that I don't get a lie in; I find I wake up at exactly the same time, even if the alarm isn't set - very annoying! Enjoy the new term. xx
ReplyDeleteYour photos are always stunning.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are feeling refreshed after your break x
What! A National Trust garden I haven't heard of? Goodness I am slipping, I will have to look it up. Beautiful photos x
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of Spring, jus a shame it's not warmer.
ReplyDeleteLovely lovely photos! I especially like the blackbird ones. It's nice not to have to wake up with an alarm, isn't it? We are on Passover break at the moment and that extra half an hour or more in the mornings makes all the difference!
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful place to visit, my list is growing, where am I going to find time to visit all these locations. xx
